Gardens of Golden Gate Park Strategic Plan Outreach

A New Vision Takes Bloom

Background

The Gardens of Golden Gate Park combines admission, education, and engagement programs at the San Francisco Botanical Garden, Conservatory of Flowers, and Japanese Tea Garden. All three sites are located within a short walk of each other within Golden Gate Park, but had been operated by different organizations until 2022. Under the new Gardens of Golden Gate Park, management is led by the nonprofit San Francisco Botanical Garden Society with maintenance and horticulture continued to be overseen by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. As part of developing the Gardens of Golden Gate Strategic Plan to set out priorities and operations, Civic Edge was hired to develop and promote a community survey to support the strategic plan development.
